There’s a long post on here that basically says the 2015 is screwed. 2016 can get panels replaced. I’d have to pay unfortunately. I should probably just choke up $2000 or whatever and be done with it
Ford Performance sells a carbon fiber vent. It’s pricey but looks nice and it’s Ford.
Do you know of a local painter that you’d trust? Assuming you’re in the tidewater area
I was very much thinking it'd be cool to do an EcoBoost hood with no vents and put the GT500 vent on there. I just can't stand the idea of fiberglass or aftermarket. The factory hoods have perfect fitment, or as perfect as I'd hope for on this kind of vehicle. Freaking corrosion. Thanks again...
The best color. Magnetic!
I’ll check them out. This has been so frustrating. It’s easy to get a Cervini, but I really just don’t trust fiberglass. And I’m damn pissed at needing to drop $2k or more on this boondoggle. Sigh.
So I have a pretty bad case of the dreaded hood corrosion. Yes I know that I should just buy a new hood, but I’m considering having a shop just paint the factory hood and see if it comes back.
in any case, if I buy a new hood I’ll need to have it painted. Any good paint shops in the 757...
sorry you’re going through that. My 2015 looks the same. I’m contemplating getting a Cervini hood instead of another 50/50 shot at a problematic aluminum hood
Sorry for replying to an old thread. I saw somewhere that just replacing the stock mount with this Steeda mount could possibly improve street comfort as well. Is that inaccurate?
I’ve got the old 2015 GTPP factory setup and like everyone knows, it’s bouncy as hell. My wife can’t ride in it...
So I have a 15, and am totally screwed. Need a new hood. Should I just buy the factory hood off the Internet for $1100? Basically, should I expect the fitment to be pretty much perfect with an OEM hood, thus being pretty easy for a simpleton like me to install?
You know the dealership is gonna...
