I've been speaking with Scott Hackman (internet sales manager) at Airport Ford in Florence, KY (near Cincinnati). They currently have a 2017 allocation (unordered) available, but are asking for a $5k ADM and a $5k deposit. He claims that they can get an R or non-R with this allocation, but I'm taking that with a grain of salt; I asked him to confirm if that's actually true, but I'm not sure if he actually went to his regional rep before responding with a "yes".

The potential of a $5k-over R is tempting, but I'm not sure I'm willing to risk tying up that large of a deposit on it. In case anybody's interested:

Bommarito Ford in Hazelwood, MO (near St Louis) has an available 2017 allocation that they are asking $7500 over MSRP for. They also have four 2016s sitting on the lot (3 tech pack, 1 track pack) that he made it sound like they'd be willing to negotiate on, but since I'm only interested in a 2017, I didn't ask for more details.

This one sold yesterday for $30k over. Absurd. The sales manager on the phone just basically bragged about re-trading a local customer.

"we were at $20k with someone local and then someone in California called in and offered $26k over and we told the local guy that he had to be at 30k....he balked and then came in 30 mins later and paid it".

Mall of GA is the lowest of the low. Learned when I was shopping for an F150 two months ago.

Yeah I inquired about that race red R a week ago. I offered $10k over but they came back saying they are pretty sure they'll get $30k.
Well a sucker is born every minute!

I am interested to see how much they will negotiate on the 4 cars on the lot. All the 2016s were purchased from other dealers with ADM paid by Bommarito Ford.

When will these ADMs break?

:frusty:

All these dealerships have ADMs between $5-15K... for non-Rs.

Some dealerships tell me the GT350s are selling between $10-20K above

If that were the case there would be none in your showrooms!!!

Lowest one I was able to find on a 2017 built to order was $2500. I jumped on it. I dont think the ADM's are going to break especially if this car is only a 2 year run.

Best deal I found was $6K over on a '17 non R allocation till I found G2337. It's not easy finding an MSRP deal. It bears repeating, if I would have been able to drive one or go for a ride in one prior to my purchase, I would have been willing to pay a "small" ADM". The cars are that special.

Adm's break when consumers put their foot down. So far, that has not and may not happen. Too many people out there willing to give away money. I'm a car guy through and through and I've had some beasts. But I'm yet to come across one that was worth over sticker to me. This one included.

My local dealer threw a $10K ADM on a '16 Tech pack last week. The sales manager said it was just to get some foot traffic while keeping the fire kickers away. A guy walked in and paid the full thing. The dealer would have taken MSRP.

So long as people like that exist, ADMs will persist.

With demand still high for the GT350, it appears Ford will be building the GT350 for at least a few more years. Maybe the ADMs will drop in a couple years.

ADMs have broke. Your area may very. MSRP deals aren't as hard to come by now.
