Buyer beware of cjpony parts

Hands down the worst customer service I have ever experienced! Purchased a shifter knob wouldn't not catch the reverse boot and after the recommended 6-7 turns the knob snaps. They refuse to replace the part blaming the installer! First purchase and last.

Also, they claim they knows this based on the amount of customer shifter knobs that have been, "over tighten". This is a common thing, the best they can do is resend the instructions with highlighted area and won't live up to their own torque spec of 6-7. Oh, they don't even know what a torque spec is!

I am sure lots of you have had good experiences with them, my purpose is to make it clear they won't back their manufacturers product if it breaks due to poor craftsmanship or other variables. As well as letting you know their motto is the customer is never right.

Kind of like "Satisfaction Guaranteed"...how can I know if I'm satisfied with it, IF I DON'T INSTALL IT?; no refunds.

I've read a few negative reviews of CJ Pony Parts, seems like there customer service has room for improvement.

On the flip side of this experience, I had the same issue with a shifter purchased from American Muscle and they refunded me no questions asked. Didn't even want me to send back the cracked shifter.

If you want a quick resolution, contact bill tumps on here. I had an issue with them and went through something like 6 people trying to get it resolved. Bill solved the issue for me in less than 10 minutes.

Same thing happened to me (Lack of customer service, NOT a broken shift knob), except they let me send the product back....And made ME pay for the return shipping.

Today I sicced my bank and MasterCard on them, unfortunately. Mine is over a CAI that if it's not defective, sure does not meet up with what it claims to achieve.

Lol, that's ALL cold air intakes. They do a little, but almost all gains they claim (which are exaggerated) are due to a tune.

Plus, can you really feel an extra 12 - 15 hp (or even double that) on a 400+ hp car :shrug: -- unless you have a highly refined/sensative butt dyno, I don't see how !

agreed...it's all bullshit with a product that fails to back its claims.
